Guest Damn Cracker
Here's a lok into what little I know: AWD= best traction, some understeer, heaviest weight, most power lost from flywheel to wheels FWD= lightest, least power lost from flywheel to wheels, worst weight distibution, alows for more interior room, torqe steer, good traction in rain&snow, lots of understeer RWD= good weight distribution, med. amount of power lost, good launch traction, bad rain&snow traction, most nuetral steering. Guest unhingedlizard
What he said plus: AWD: Safest platform FWD: Better MPG. I find less invovling to drive which is fine for boring daily traffic grind. RWD: One word sums it up. Drift. There's a FWD Integra here that does 8's and is street legal. Has so much money spent on it though. But is possible to make FWD as fast as RWD. just not as cheaply or easily.
johnc
Didn't you already post this request somewhere on HybridZ? If not, there's a very similar thread on here that has links to specific information about your subject.

Guest Nic-Rebel450CA
One thing to add to the info about RWD.. Rear Wheel Assist! Nothing like powdering the tires to help make that U turn
