john kosmatka
I was wondering, what are all the the major modifications do you have to make to do this swap. Refering to the wiring harness, ecu, transmission and fuel delivery.
mobythevan
I have to tell you that I found a wealth of information on the turbo swap at http://www.zcar.com Those guys have been doing this for a long time, and a lot of the same guys are here on hybridz, but hybridz has a lot more info pertaining to the V8 swap than the turbo swap. Just search in their 70-83 tech area and search mainly for "turbo 240" or "L28ET 240" etc... Look at these two posts from zcar: http://http:/www.zcar.com/forums/read.php?f=1&i=191232&t=191088 http://http:/www.zcar.com/forums/read.php?f=1&i=173712&t=173582 Hope that helps

Mudge
Basically yeah, fetching it out might be "fun," putting it back should be pretty easy. Use asm lube or 30w oil and it should slip on fairly easily, you can use PVC pipe instead of a rear main installer if you can find one in the right size. john kosmatka
I am having a second thought about this swap, I am in the process of acquiring a 83' zx turbo. I am thinking about just keeping the zxt and restoring the 76' to orriginal and before I decided I wanted to know if the handling of the zxt is any better than the earlier Z's. And if the suspension has more potential for modifications than the earlier Z's. Thanks for your help, John
