John Scott
Initial tests were dissapointing on the 1.6 rocker swap to the intake side. This made for a 624/585. Perhaps I was already near the ideal intake lift for my afr 195s. S.O.P.D (seat of pants dynometer) says big loss in low end response and no gain on top. My guess is that the loss was not due to the slightly lower lift in exhaust, but rather changing the port velocity on the intake side. I'll be going back to their original setting, 585/624. Guest Your Car is Slow
what about just changing out that side back to 1.5s? Common to see nowadays a mixed kit of 1.6s and 1.5s (half/half) What kind are your 1.6s...wanna sellem?
John Scott
I am running 1/2 & 1/2. I don't have a complete set of either. Had I been running a smaller cam to begin with, low mid 500s, maybe I would have seen an increase. I read on another board that the out of box afr 195s are maxed out around .600 or little less on the intakes, so thats where I'll stay.
