Hello people!

I am a really new newbie. I just traded my 88 Jeep Cherokee for a 72 327 SB Scarab (thanks Scarp!)

I am usually hotrodding my Vette, but I decided to got o something different...well in San Antonio,TX a little different (loaded with stinkin Mustangs here)

I am really impressed with the tech and exchange forum here, and it seems you guys are real helpful, so I will defintly need your help, if I can just go through ALL the topics, it would be about a day or two.

1st newbie question: What the hell is an LSD? (besides the acid)

2nd noob question: Where do I get an massive sway bar for my front end?

3rd Noob question: Do they sell the JTR book at half price book store?

4th: What has been the best engine combo that allows reasonable drivability, yet it rocks the quarter mile? (no BBs Please)

5th and last: How the hell do I identify and r200 from a r180 other than looking at it by size?

Ok guys thanks in advance!

An LSD is a limited slip differential. Basically a normal diff will spin one tire an LSD will spin both. That means with an LSD you get much better traction on the launch. As far as front sway bar, this guy makes custom sway bars for the Z at a reasonable price.

Welcome Eddie, Nice to have another scarab in the fold. Hang on and haul a--! If you have an r180 its pretty scrawny maybe 8 inches across the 200 is half again as big. Much sturdier.

Ahhh such a good response even with links! Cool.

Lemme give you guys the lowdown on this Z.

I traded my Jeep Cherokee for her and shes Blue with a cowl induction hood.

she has a little bit of rust, but not too much where I cannot fix it, the interior is immaculate and the seats are tearless.

The suspension however could use some work.

Heres the details:

1968 327/275hp 10:1 ratio

Victor Jr Intake with 1" spacer

850 Dbl pumper holley

Block hugger headers

Holley hi volume elec fuel pump

Electronic ignition with MSD6A

Tach with shiftlite

Fresh 350 transmission with B&M shift kit

QuickSilver shifter

15x10 Centerline autodrag with Mickey Thompson Sportsmans

15x8 Centerline autodrag with Mickey Thompson sportsmans

The car somewhat is unstable at low speeds, the steering is hard and the frame defintly needs to be stiffened up.

Is there anyway someone can show me how to add my cars pic so you guys can see it?

I have yet to run it in the 1/4 but I am anxiously waiting.

I should be complete with the car within 2 weeks.
