Dyno Tuning Q's (does this look right?)

Recommended Posts

I'm renting the local dyno for a few hours and was wondering if this is the right way to use my time.

1st Set timing to a base number

2nd set rpm to lowest stable RPM

3rd set Idle for max vacuume and highest idle rpm.

This will all be done before hand

4th advance timing until highest HP reading

5th go lighter with dizzy springs until pinging is noted

6th change jets primary until max HP reading

7th change jets secondary for max HP reading

8th if you have a stumble over 2000 rpm your 2ndy spring is to light

(how do I tell if they are to heavy??)

9th a stumble off idle adjust accelorater pump cam and squirter until smooth curve is noted. Keith
