Guest Anonymous
does anyone know if an 88 350 block uses certain heads?? i know 87 and up heads use a specific manifold. i was wondering if the blocks from 87 and up are different or can i use and older 202 head on this block, its a 4bolt truck block in great shape and the only intake ive found for 87 and up heads are performer manifolds unless i use vortec heads the heads i was given are toasted.any help with this is appreciated.... Guest Anonymous
I rebuilt a couple of L98 350's and they are the same engine/head combo as prior (except for the center bolt valve covers) It is the Vortec 350s, LT1,LT4 that are oddballs. L98s are pretty strong engines, they have roller cams and are hi revvers. Don't mistake the 88 305 for a 350, look in the back of the block and look for the ol "5.0L" stamp. If ya got a roller setup, do it! Roller is the bomb!
