spdsk8r
Does a '88/newer 350 with the center bolt valve covers use the same intake as the older ones? I found a deal on a Performer intake for $40, but I need to know if it will fit on my '91 350 truck motor.
Guest Ziggy Vulcan
I don't think so... I was asking a long time ago about putting an lt1 intake on an older style head and what I came up with was http://www.lt1intake.com That page talks about all the work that has to be done to put an lt1 intake on an old engine. It looks very involved and I assume it to be the same case for the other way around. It probobly can be done with some time, effort, money, and elbow grease. Now it is time for the people who actually know what they're talking about to respond...
fastzcars
It should fit. the only difference are the center 4 bolt holes in the intake are at 72 degrees as appose to 90 degrees on the out most bolts. You would need to elongate the center holes on the intake. Oh, one more thing, make sure your not looking at Vortec heads, They look similar to the old style heads, They have 4 bolt holes per head, so the intake will only have 8 mounting bolt holes. I hope I didn't confuse you? sometimes I rant.
