RacerX
I was browsing thru the June 2003 issue of Turbo magazine. I came across an article of a yellow Supra - I believe the article was titled "Yellow Jacket" or something to that nature. I was reading the stat sheet and it stated that the motor was a I6, aluminum block, aluminum head. Have I been misinformed all this time? I was led to believe that the 2JZ motor was an iron block and alloy head - or is the iron block on the NA motor? OR - the writer was misinformed!!!! The article never stated anything about the car having an aluminum block. That would be awesome if such an animal was available - or is it?!! Mudge
Interesting, for a really high-po job I'd want the iron block, for most stuff though the aluminum is probaly ok, although being an L6 rigidity is not going to be the same as a V6 which is "half the length." Guest macks
The 2JZ is a iron block/alloy head, as you thought. The magazine made a mistake, which isn't that uncommon, unforunately...
