Guycali
This may be a dumb question but I've never driven a RHD car and am getting ready to acquire a RB26 conversion kit. Is it the same shift pattern as LHD tranny? 1 3 5 |/|/ 2 4 or 5 3 1 || 4 2 Thanks, Guycali

Guest Anonymous
which hand is doing the shifting?
Guest Anonymous
left hand. funny thing is, on a RHD drive Z, the turn signals/head light switch are turned around. that means you activate your signals with the right hand. good stuff driving a RHD car. its so much fun to mess with people at stop lights. Guest Anonymous
RHD is better if your left handed like me..
strotter
Some years ago I read an sidebar article about the original advantage of RHD: the thinking was that you wanted to have your strongest arm/hand (generally the right) controlling the steering, your weak arm shifting. This was convenient from an engineering perspective with the shifter on top of the transmission. It also put the left foot in control of the clutch (next to the tranny), leaving the strong right foot to operate the brakes. Actually it kind of makes sense...
