pparaska
I just got this email from the communications director of the National Motorist Association. I had emailed my state senate and house reps to vote against it, but the leftist weeners voted for it. Tax and spend democrats - we have way too many in this state! And this was another "road tax" they were trying to level on us, calling it a "safety" issue. BS! All it would do is send you a bill through the mail if a vehicle registered in your name was photed speeding. REAL speeders are reckless and should be ticketed IN PERSON. Somebody on this site turned me on to the NMA - can't remember who - maybe Mike C? Anyway, I thank you. And I never wimper when my dues to the NMA come due. Dear Maryland Members, In our last alert to you, we had said that Governor Robert L. Ehrlich Jr had indicated that he would likely reject a new law that authorizes photo radar, but that hadn't made up his mind yet. So, we asked you to contact the Governor with your thoughts concerning this issue. It's pretty obvious that you did because Governor Ehrlich has vetoed the photo radar bill. Please contact the Governor to thank him for vetoing this legislation. Too many times, we only contact our officials to give them negative feedback. They need to hear the good comments too! To give credit where credit is due, you can email the Governor by completing a form on his site at http://www.gov.state.md.us/mail/ It is important to fill out the information fields on the form in order to get a response from him. It is my understanding that each and every email will be read and will be responded to. You can also contact the Governor at Office of the Governor 100 State Circle Annapolis, Maryland 21401 (410) 974-3591
