TomoHawk
On my '78Z, for some reason, the right TS in fron stopped working. I pulled the connector apart to check it with the light and I don't get anything, although the rear light does go on, and doesn't blink. Could I have broken a wire inside the connector? I even tried to de-oxidize the pins in the connector, with no luck. Is there another test point on the wiring harness to check the TS circuits? Thx. TomoHawk
The bulbs were all good. As a last resort, I took the TS mechanism off & cleaned it. Somebody put gobs of grease on it, so it wouldn't lock on. I also cleaned the switch contacts, which were dirty & greasy. Works fine now, except I need to go back under the column cover and LIGHTLY gease the TS mechanism. NOW, I hear a KLUNK with every tuirn of the wheel to the right. the TS pin must be hitting something. Aaargh.
