Guest Anonymous
o.k. o.k. i finally bought a real motor, all the research is over and i thank everyone who dealt with me asking the same questions 100 different ways. i picked up a rebuildable 400 with 882 heads with the steamholes and a stealth intake,( i m going to get another but this came with the motor) for $200! i just pulled the crank, rods and pistons. Ive got a piston rusted in place! p.i.t.a.!but i new it was before i bought it. everything else looks o.k. except the 2nd main bearing had what appeared to be a groove worn into it. but this week im off to the machine shop to check out a dip in the "hot tank" and an after dinner bore and hone! also found some info on some pretty cool stroker kits. but i have no idea on where to find 6" rods, and i found 10 or 15 sets or pistons on ebay, even forged cranks for $300 new!!! man, what a beautiful day!!!!!!! hey if anyone has any input on those bearings or stroker combos please, for "petes" sake, reply. thanx again!!!!!
