Guest torynich
I have a 74 260 that I have been experiencing a batery drain on. I tried the test mentioned in the post on volt reading...with ignition off and went through all of the fuses and the light never went out. So I started unpluging things one at a time in the engine compartment. When I unplug the 2-spade connector on the alternator, the light goes out. Does this tell me the alternator is bad? I also noticed that the light goes out if I unplug the box next to the alt on the fenderwell (I dont know what it is but the top of it says Fuse:3A), not the smaller connector but the larger connector into it. Does anyony have any ideas? Thanks... Tory
Guest Aaron
On a ZX I have seen a bad voltage regulator drain a battery. That might be your problem.
