Guest Perry
Hi all, I wired my taurus fan by using an adjustable fan switch with a temp bulb to switch the fan from low to high and a GM fan switch in the water neck of the 350 chevy to switch it all on. The GM switch is a one wire switch that I thought would go to ground when temp was reached, but instead it appears to close on a diode which will only allow current to flow FROM ground. in other words, it doesn't work. I'm sure the switch I got was not a thermistor, and am considering blowing the diode out with too much voltage across it to see if I get lucky and it fails closed. Has anyone out there got an application that I can use to get the right switch? I want it to go to ground when the fan should come on, maybe around 190 or 200 degrees. I did try a search to no avail. thanks, Perry
Guest greimann
This thread doesn't answer your question specifically, but it is a solution. http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21495
Phantom
Dave, Saw your car over on the MSA site. Very nice write-up. Maybe you should apply for the Zcar.com car of the month too. You could reign on three sites simultaneously.
