Guest Casey240Z
I am thinking about swapping an Lt1 into my Z because I think I have a crack in the block. So how much work will go into swapping an Lt1 & T56 into a Z that has a carbed 350 with a th350 trans. I realize there is more to it than dropping in the engine. If anyone has done this I would appreciate your comments. Thanks in advance.
Guest chip
I think the LT1 will fit with the JTR motor mounts. If you already have a 350 in your Z, you shouldnt have problems with mounting the motor.
Tim240z
Everything should bolt up. You will have to tackle the following: Pulley system for the LT1 (AC cannot be used in OEM position) New radiator hoses New fuel pump and lines Wiring in the LT1 PCM Driveshaft should fit ok. That's all that I can think of. Tim

DavyZ
I don't have the JTR mounts I am using the MSA mounts, will this be a problem. Should not be a problem at all. Stick with the mounts you have and save the money. Good luck with your swap!! Davy
