Guest Anonymous
Hey Guys; My SBC and 700R4 are finally coming together I am using the stock shifter from a 240 that JTR says will work. When I looked in the book they show the shifter mounted to a piece of angle iron and bolted to the tailshaft of the trans. Is that picture just to show the set-up or should the shifter be mounted like that I thought that maybe if the shifter was mounted to the floor that the torque from the V-8 might cause the linkage to shift at the least inapproiate time. I have a shifter cable from a Camaro Z28, anybody tried that combo Thanks AAAAAH 8)
mas28O
I have used the Datsun shifter in the past. I also mounted it to the floor without any problems. I have a shifter out of a 2000 Camaro and it works good.
