Guest mtj71Z Posted July 1, 2003 Share Posted July 1, 2003 the gauge illumination lights.......when do they turn on? does the car have to be started? mine are getting power, but not turning on, and the lightbulbs are all good. however, the high beam indicator also has power, but doesnt light up until i put the high beams on...so power doesnt mean the light should be on necessarily...so...if they have power, why wouldnt they light up. thanks..... mike Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest mtj71Z Posted July 6, 2003 Share Posted July 6, 2003 thanks. one more thing for anybody to answer... on the turn signal switch, there is a metal plate on the front of it. when the handle is pushed up or down, is that plate suppose to touch anything to ground the 'circuit' for the turn signal? mine looks like it should touch the steering colum to provide a gound but it misses by a small amount. thanks for the help.
