Guest Casey240Z
I got coolant in my oil and replaced the head gaskets but didn't fix it, so my next stop is the machine shop. What should I ask them to do at the machine shop as far as checking the heads? Should I take both heads to the machine shop?
DavyZ
If you really think the heads are cracked, you can have them check for cracks by Magnafluxing them. If they are cracked, you have to decide if they are worth keeping and fixing, or replacing. If they are stock heads, I say trash them. Tim240z
If your heads check out fine, then have a look at the intake manifold, that has coolant flowing through it too. Was there water in the lifter valley? Timb
Guest zfan
warped intake or cracked head. Magnaflex the head. Mike
Guest Casey240Z
There was water in one of the cylinders and there might have been a little in the lifter valley.
