Guest zline
Hey all - I was lookin on car-parts findin out how much it'd actually cost to do a v8z swap and under 1993 - CAMARO - TRANSMISSION it returned two six speeds from behind an LT1, One was GM Option Code M28 , the other GM Option Code M29 If anyone can fill me in to the pros/cons/differences of them all I'd greatly appreciate it.!! Thx, Dan (Chevy is a long way from an RB ) Edit: from 94 on - there's only 1 6 speed to choose from?? *sigh* this is all confusing.

Wagz
Dan - Did you happen to read if there is a way to differentiate them via their serial numbers? I'm not sure which one I have and it would be nice to know for sure. Thanks!
Guest zline
From the research I did i found: M29 is from the pontiac M28 is from the chevy so whichever your donor car is I guess thats the way to tell, might be in the vin number, but to be sure I'll have to do more research and get back to this post. Wagz
Well, I was told it was out of a Ram Air Firebird. Should be an M29 then. Thanks for the info.
