vg30et into maxima !help!

i swapped a jdm vg30et into my maxima. for a while it wa getting a lot of fuel due to the fpr i had being installed wrong. i could get it started but i had to flutter the gas to do so. once i got it around 2000 rpm i could eventually get it to about 3000-3500 rpm or so but it took forever and sounded like it had a hard time running. since then i made absolutely sure the timing is correct and i fixed the fpr problem. now i'm still having the same trouble with it not being able to rev very high. when i changed the timing belt a while back i notice the cams weren't quite lined up with there dots on the case so i fixed whichever cam it was that was off. i put the timing belt on and it lined up fine with the marks on the belt. i'm thinking maybe valve timing is off due to me moving the cam ever so slighty but i'm not sure. i tried starting it today after fixing the fpr and i could get it up to 2000 rpm but it just doesn't want to run. it will idle at a little over 1000 rpm but then die off unless i mess with the throttle a little bit. while running if i keep it at 1500 rpm it will sometimes run extremely smooth and go up to 2000 rpm but then starts to have a hard time running after that. (by having a hard time running i mean it just wants to stay in one place on not rev any more. it sounds restricted and doesn't sound like it is making any power)

here's some info on what i'm doing.

i swapped the jdm vg30et into my maxima. i'm using all maxima sensors, ecu, and distributer. i'm using an apexi s-afc to correct the fuel curve. i have the stock injectors that came with the engine but i'm using a walbro 255 lph high pressure fuel pump. i relocated the turbo to a custom crossover pipe due to space restrictions. i have an aeromotive fpr (because i thought i would need it since i was using the maxima's ecu).

if anyone has any ideas at all that would great! i've been working on this since march and have recently finally been able to attempt to run it but have ran into this problem.

Sounds a lot like a dead MAF, or the ECU not being able to get a signal from the MAF. Test the unit and recheck your connections. Maybe the connection to the S-AFC has disconnected itself?

i'm not sure if the afc is connected correctly. i had a maxima wiring harness schematic and tried wiring it as good as i could but i'm not sure if it's 100% correct. the only thing is i ran it without the afc once and i did the same thing up to 3000 rpm.

i have another maf so i'll see what that does. thanks for your help!

that's what i'm doing right now but i don't really know what to do. i have cyinder 1 at tdc and the the rockers are loose (no pressure on them). i'm guessing since the firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6 the intake valve of cylinder number two should be getting ready to close for the compression stroke.
