Guest bobnagga
Where would I be able to get a carbeurated intake manifold for my 280ZX EFI N/A? I would also want to set it up for a turbo. Or maybe just headers... Anyway, If I were to put on a mechanical carbbed intake, would I be able to cut the computer out of the system? Maybe after I get a standalone HEI ignition? In my eyes, that would make it easier to work on as many times with computers, if one sensor goes bad, the whole system gets screwed up... I have access to an oscilliscope to use to tune the thing, an exhaust gas reader to tune the carb(s), and all that jazz. Any advice?
BQR280Z
I have an 83 ZX motor in my 76 - I used a Clifford manifold, a straight bolt-on. And YES you can trash all of the EFI crap, I pulled all the wiring harness out, ECU and the high pressure fuel pump. I am using a Mallory Uni-lite distributor and it runs super. Guest bobnagga
thankx, BQR, But what about all that spaghetti vacuum? That's another thing that if I got rid of it, the car would be a lot easier for me to work on.
BQR280Z
All the vacuum lines but one can go. The only connection I have is to the brake booster and a T in that for my vacuum guage. Bill
