Guest Fast Frog
Owen: As I remember, from 5 yrs ago (Geez getting old sucks!), my mini-ram didn't come with a hose neck. I think I bought the standard length GM type neck from JEGS with a bunch of other small accessories. Anyway, it's only 2"+ long. My top radiator hose is a standard GM rubber hose purchased from NAPA auto parts. I had to get a special bend configuration so I could get it from the radiator to the hose neck without interfering with my supercharger bracket and supercharger belt. My bottom hose a standard wire filled GM rubber hose and I'm using 5/8" rubber hosing from the coolant ports in front of the mini-ram to the heater sys. However, at car shows, I've seen similiar configurations using steel braided hosing. As you know, the distance from the radiator to the block on a ZV8 is not that much diff from a stock GM V8 setup. Hope this helps! Rick [This message has been edited by Fast Frog (edited August 10, 2000).]
Owen
Hey Rick, You're using the MiniRam right? Do you have that long water neck that comes with it? I'm looking into braided radiator hoses but was told that they don't bend well. What kind of hoses are you using? Part number, etc?
