Jwink25
I have several different ones laying around. I don't need 3 pulleys and was wondering what would happen if I removed the 3rd one? There are a couple of bolts that go through the damper and hold it on. By removing the 3rd pulley would I be risking the integrity of the unit? Do I need to replace the two bolts with shorter ones? Do they help hold on the 2nd pulley on or are they there only to hold the 3rd one on? I want to shave some rotating weight and help make the engine look cleaning. Thanks! evildky
the third pulley was likely for an add on A/C system, that said you can remove it without and problems, I am thinking the bolts are needed to retain the other 2 pulley's I could be wron, just pull the one off and see if the others appear to need the bolts, learn by doing
Jwink25
I did take the bolts out and removed the 3rd pulley. The other 2 are stuck together. I was just wanting to make sure they would stay together. I guess I could put in a couple of shorter bolts and hopefuly not have to worry about it. Better safe than sorry.
