anyone TPI????

Recommended Posts

hey thanks for the insight, imma check out

those stroker kits for the 305, im scared

im gonna lose the heart of the beast( i call my car the ghetto blaster), but if im going to keep baby, hes gonna have to get a heart transplant that can take frequent

freeway trips, which scare me a little with the 327 as he is. has any of you guys taken the fuel injected leap? is there anything special i will need to inform me and my staff

with regarding the difficulty of this swap???

my goal is a tpi 305 stroked out with a nice

low to mid range cam roller valvetrain, maybe some ignition and injector minor upgrades, but im building him to be a daily driver with a little thug in him, maybe a little over 300 hp, any info would be of great appreciation. thanx

I'm doing a 95 Corvette LT-1 swap...

Check out e-bay. There are a few Chevy TPI setups for sale (intake and computer and such. No block/heads..)

It looks like there are some good deals to be had.

Why don't you go aftermarket? I have an Edelbrock Pro-Flo EFI on my 327, with Trick Flow heads. On the dyno it made 435hp and 493 ft lbs tq! It ran smooth as silk on the dyno with a smooth idle. The Pro-Flo is easy to put on, and didn't take that much tuning. It should also give very good fuel mileage. My Z is not on the road yet, but I expect a daily driver out of it.

The fuel injection leap is great but you need to do a lot of homework. My bud has a chip burner for his Vette so I burnt and reburnt a dozen or so chips before the balance I have now was reached. The chips you buy are low on quality and content if you ever decode and read one. For some people the injection leap is easy and others have problems grasping it. You are the ultimate judge of what you want and can do.
