PETEW
You can try this for starters. But there are more sites for slightly better prices. I know they did a group buy somewhere recently and the prices were good. http://www.zcarparts.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=7BSA
EvilRufusKay
Thanks Pete! Do you know if these flares are made to be filled in? or are they ment to show the screws? Nice R1 by the way. I have a poster of the same bike at work. I would love to get the limited edition. the black one with the red flames
PETEW
No the screws are meant to show. You just trim your fender and mount them. If you do a search a there a bunch of posts about the flares and how to mount them. I believe some guys say to use VW welting to really seal the flair. My R1 was a 2000 model, great for wheelies. I got rid of it, but can't stand not having a bike. The new ZX-10 coming out looks nice. Hmmmm, maybe.
QWKDTSN
Actually, the black with red flames is not a special edition (I hear this all the time from various sources, including dealers)... just a special paint job that costs extra money to buy. EvilRufusKay
I wondered about that. The one I saw already had an underseat exhaust and the sales jerk was trying to tell me it came like that from the factory. When I questioned him further about it he went to someone who actually knew something and told me it was aftermarket. So I wondered what other parts had been bolted on and made out to be "special ed" Thanks for the info.
