Guest Looking for apt in Alb Ny
Hello I was wondering if anyone would be interested in solid aluminum engine mounts in their l28 Z. I have heard of people doing this. Heck we make just about every moving object in the suspension 100% stiffer including diff. Also what about a mega mount for the diff. I keep seeing these little diff mounts and wonder how well they handle. Are your MSA's holding up in V8's?Yes I know laugh you must have made your own tough one. I had one and was unsure of a 10mm dolt holding down the diff. The diff mount I would make would be held with mounts that go all the way around the cross member.strange how the 10mm holds it down but the diff is connected to the mount with 2 12mm bolts. Any little thing you would like to see solid instead of rubber let me know. I'm looking to get some needed stuff out .Thanks Juan
Tim240z
Juan, Sorry to hijack your post, but I am curious about something: From your website: One of the most versatile products for Datsun Z! Front Wilwood brake adapters. Why purchase a big brake kit that does not meet your specific needs.. We all have different racing needs and subject our brakes to different track use. Here we supply the adapters and let you choose what Billet series caliper from Wilwood to choose from. Again your budget is our task for our consumers! Must be used with 280z hubs. Why the very last sentence? Thanks, Tim
Guest Looking for apt in Alb Ny
240 and 280 hubs do not have the same mating distance to the rotor. Different rotors for the 2. the 280 requires less material and rotational mass so i chose to do the 280 hub. the hat is 14mm thick. If I went and did the 240 hub the hat would be 22mm thick. I put the brakes on my scale today. the complete Wilwood brakes knock 16 pounds off the complete 300zx brakes. Just thought I would state. One complete side for the Wilwood setup weighs in at 16 pounds. One side of the 4 runner comes in at 24 pounds. Go Arnold! Juan.
