Guest Anonymous Posted August 23, 2003 Share Posted August 23, 2003 A little back ground for you first,, i have a 76 280 turbo conversion with the following modifacations -msd,87 ecu,87 wireing harness , 87 amf,84ish distributor , 83 turbo block,turbo injectors, 76 intakemanifold and head, a custom fuel system =fuel cell, -8 lines , A.R. fuel reg. fuel filter, and custom fuel rail. pro direct port nitris centerforece2 clutch, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, anyways just got it all put together , and it wont run ,all i got out of it was a couple of backfires and one or two sputters, i think it is some sort of timing problem but i have double and triple checked the distributor and the valves with the pistons at t.d.c. i am fairly confident in the wireing because my electrical engineer brother hooked all that up. ,, if anyone has any tips i would really appriciate it,, thanks!!!!!!!!!!!! yo2001 Posted August 24, 2003 Share Posted August 24, 2003 Run on-board self diagnose, I had to crank the timing all the way to 20deg before it cranked and idle good when I swapped the Z31 setup on mine.
