I'm Considering Selling My Project 240zxt

 Sadly enough, I am now considering selling me project 240z.

It's in the final stages of completion:

280zx turbo motor in w/4 spd tranny(until I can locate a 5 spd)

R200 rear end

Tockio gas shocks

Suspension Technique 1" lowering springs.

Ecode H4 conversion headlights.

13" Grant steering wheel.

Believe to be a 2spd tarus electric fan

Volvo intercooler

I believe the only thing I need to do is:

Hook up a drive shaft, Don't think my stock 73 drive shaft will fit.

Find and install a crank angle senor and bracket to run the motor.

Replace hoses and vacuum lines

Mount the intercooler, radiator and fan, ECU and wiring harness

The reason I'm now considering selling this is, I need to find a commuter car in order to get this new job I want. Right now my Z is inop. and my car I drive now is not up to commuting. And I can't keep putting money into this car right now. Since I'm only 21, my thought is that, I can always find another project car and work on it later after I am a little older with more money. I have so many things I want to do, but they always seem to revolve around transportation.

Any help, words of wisdom, or support would be greatly appreciated.

Go check out an auto auction.. if you dont mind driving a really ugly and undesireable vehicle.... you can pick up a commuter for about $500...

but it is kind of a gamble....

you could try to finish the Z ASAP. it doesnt sound like you have very much to do at all... maybe 10 hours + parts search time?

if i had time for another project... i would ask you how much you were looking to get :-)

It doesn't seem like much work to me either, But working 7:30 - 5:30, plus school almost every other day for about 2 hours, as well as 6 hours on Saturday, + 30 drive to school a day, wears me out, and doesn't leave me with much time to work on my car.

Let alone hitting a pick and pull for parts.

The down side if I get the new job would make me San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento, Fresno and everywhere in between. Not to mention infamous old car odor (exhaust gas), meeting people and going to the office isn't going to make me to presentable.

Currently, I am looking for a fairly decent commuter that will last, probably off a used car lot or sale and finance one, that will give me money to save for Z parts. That way I could keep my Z
