Guest 240hybrid
I'm going to be using a external wastegate and was curious as to what are some of the pros/cons of venting the wastegate directly out to the atmosphere, and also the pros/cons rerouting it back into the exhaust?? I have seen both and was wondering if either of these methods have drawbacks to them. Thanks Chase

TimZ
The only disadvantage that I can thnik of to venting the wastegate to atmosphere is that as mentioned before, it will be considerably louder. You do also need to pay close attention and make sure that the 1400+ degF gasses exiting the wg are directed away from anything that you don't want destroyed (wiring, firewall, hoses, steering linkage, etc ). Guest 240hybrid
Yeah, I thought about what would happen to the tension rod bushings if the wastegate was vented off pointng the wrong direction.
