Guest Drewz
I have been told that a wet kit for under 100HP. is not needed for a N/A engine but Turbo/super charged engines need it. Any one have some info here??? Minor for price diif. from what I can see but would like some good hard facts!!!
Guest ON3GO
you can run wet kits on n/a cars but they are better for Turbo'ed powered cars. Dry is for N/A motors. theres also direct port kits and others.
Guest Drewz
So the theory is that the injection will add enough fuel for the N/A motor than??
Guest eric-z
I didn't really understand your last question and I'm no nitrous guru, but nitrous is an oxidizer, you combine that with fuel and you get more power. Nitrous is often used in turbo cars for the cooling affect and quick power to spool up the turbo. people don't use alot of nitrous in turbo cars because you can easily blow up your engine by overdoing it. N/A cars on the other hand can use alot higher amounts of nitrous because they do not get the added O2 from the turbo when it is spooled. I hope this helps... and I hope I have my facts right... eric
Guest Drewz
No I was talking about the diff. between the tow. The Non n/a cars don't really need the wet kit since the injectors should be able to handle the extra fuel needed to not blow the engine up and other cars use wet kits since they can lean out and blow up to my understanding. I believe this is accurate but wanted to be sure about it. The only question is will the injected L28 handle a 75 to 100 shot in a dry nitrous situation used once in a while??? The rest is clear so far to me....
JoeinCA
I think that a Wet nitrous system would be quite a bit safer to use rather than a dry system. But i always figure that it is better to run a little rich than to run a little lean.. Plus you can go to higher HP levels. Joe
Guest Drewz
I have ben comparing some prices and, from what I can see on ebay anyways, is a minor if any price diff. I have no experience with this stuff so finding all the facts is a bonus if I got into it. I think it is a cheaper alternative than swapping the injected motor and turboing it......My thoughts anyways. It is a driver that I want some more UMPH once in a while.
