Guest Anonymous
I'm throwing a 700r4 in my 74 2+2 with an r200 rearend. Does anybody have any experience mating these up? Everything I've heard says that rear will support v8 power. Although if not I guess I should find a chevy rear. I'd like to keep my independent suspension if I could. Tim240z
The R200 will be fine. Many, many guys here are running them. If you want an upgrade from that, the R230 from a Q45 or 300ZTT is stronger, but involves more work and $$$, but does include a viscous LSD. if you want an upgrade from that, talk to Scottie about using a 'Vette rear.....much more work and $$. Guest Anonymous
Welcome ..use the Chevy u joints & drive shaft. Get a differrential adapter from JTR to accept the chevy u joint to the Datsun diff. Also recheck your 74 2+2 to see if it does not have a R 180 instead of a R 200. Do a search here and find the part number for the diff. adapter
