I'm looking to buy a v-8 set-up from a guy selling in the Buy/Sell/Trade Forum. I was looking for your guys opinions on how much it is worth. Here's the set-up:

**********

15,000 miles on set-up

built 350 w/ forged flattop pistons

Trick Flow Aluminum heads

comp cam

10.5:1 comp

just under 400 hp

Edelbrock carb & aluminum manifold

K&N air filter

HEI

chrome valve covers

Jacobs wires with ceramic boots,

engine & trans mounts

radiator w/ electric fan,

speedo cable

throttle cable

custom driveline (that uses large GM U-joints),

headers and full length dual exhaust.

Basically, everything needed to bolt in, wire up ignition, starter, and alternator, and have a 12 second car.

I've got basically the same set up except 50 miles on it IN a 73 240 with Ok paint and body.

PLUS solid roller cam

Full poly bushings

You didn't mention tranny (I'v got T-5)w/Hurst billet shifter

R-200 rear swaped in w/ with brute force U-joints

I've got about 10K in the car and swap +/-

So what would I pay?

I'd offer $2000+ for everything, the heads alone were over $1K. Make an offer on it see what happens.

The whole setup comes with everything listed above, along with a race built 700R4 w/ kevlar bands, converted tach, B&M rachet shifter, R200, 4 core radiator, 16" electric fan, HD trans cooler, Edelbrock aluminum water pump, basically everything from the core support to the differential, complete kit with chrome headers, full dual exhaust, electric fuel pump. So, it's just a matter of bolting everything in, adding fliuids and wiring it up. Over $9k invested, $5500 in motor, $1200 in trans, then everything else. Great deal for anyone looking for a complete conversion. It'll be going on ebay in a week or so.
