Guest monteg
Guys, did a search to see the past responses , but could not find answer. When doing the JTR conversion, how many of you used or ordered JTR part #DAT-105? I have heard some use these and others not? Should I order the kit in seperate parts and avoid buying these spacers? I am installing sbc 350, w/ 700r4 trans. Thanks in advance.

QWKDTSN
As far as I know there isn't a single person who has used the spacers. Some people fit them and remove them later. In general, unless you're using a Victor intake manifold, your combo will fit under the hood.
Dan Juday
I used them with my tpi/T5 swap but not the LT1/T56. I didn't need hood clearance in either case but I found that they also give you more tunnel clearance for the tranny.
Guest billy383Z
i did my JTR v8 swap about 6 years ago, and I didn't use the spacers either. Didn't need the extra clearance (or the extra work!). My sbc has a reasonably tall dual plane manifold/carb induction system, and the hood closes without hitting anything. jaime240z
These are the two 0.5 inch spacers, correct? I just want to be sure because I'm going to be making a set of plates soon and not needing these will save me some work! 8)
