doesnt the 260 use a 240 frame from is it 73 prior? im not sure, and then the later 260s use the beefier 280 frame?

say if I were to use 280z over a 240, would a 280 need subframe conectors, or would it be fine without it and just use strut tower braces, and a decent roll cage? as I plan to have at least 350rwhp

The use of frame ties in the 280 depends on the hp/torque you engine is putting out. from what I`ve read and heard, the 77/78 280 had the strongest unibody.

1fastz was running high 9`s in his 77 with no cage, and if memory serves me, I don`t think he had frame ties either.(could be wrong though) His car was twisting badly though, so it`s not exactly good under high torque situations.

BTW...He has both now.
