Please read this article about E-voting machines

That article is pretty disturbing, especially now that the whole state has switched over. Maybe I shoulda bought a couple of those old voting machines when they were selling them off, after this electronic system proves to be a waste of money you could sell the old ones back to the state for a profit :D

I read that back in July, there have been others who have also complained, including tech geeks at MIT. Nobody's listening, despite being a huge story (yes, bigger than Kobe Bryant). Everyone has this impression that computers will make things "safer." Punch cards could be refined very easily, instead we're instituting a system that has more flaws and more ways to manipulate. Worth the read regardless of your party affiliation. What concerns me is that Deibold has manufactured safe ATM's in the past, why they'd leave a huge back door when they know better goes beyond carelessness IMO.

What makes you think they did that by mistake? In situations like this just follow the money, Who has an invested stake in this company? Who were the financial backers?, Who stands to gain using these computer systems? Sounds like political corruption to me.
