I know I'm a little off topic but please bare with me. I need any info you guys can come up with on a BMW 6 Series - Chevy LS1 conversion. I 've got a super nice 87 6'er with a bad engine and a complete 2001 Camaro drive train (LS1 + 6 speed). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Chappy, I have only seen one BMW 6 seried with a Ford 302 conversion. They claimed it was very fast. I assume yours will be faster! I can't help you with further info except to say similar things have been done. This is just going to take some time and fabrication. This would make for one of the ultimate setups in my opinion. Good luck!

Anything is possible with the necessary skills. I think we can all safely assume that there isnt going to be a kit, so about the best we can do is say "Good Luck" as it is going to be a one-of-a-kind setup that you are going to have to fabricate every step of the way.

Sorry Guys. Just an Update. It was an 8 series car. You know the 2 door coupe with the sloping rear window That I saw.

Hee hee, the 8 series would have no need for an LS1

The 8 Series is nice but not very many around.

I was looking at buying a used one. Stock was about 370+ HP and 400 ft/lbs with the 6spd.

They can be had for around 20-25K. Not bad considering the original cost of 80K.

I still prefer the Hybrid Z though!

Regards,
