Guest Perry Posted October 2, 2003 Share Posted October 2, 2003 If the soleniod moved out I think you are still applying power through it. you should be bypassing the solenoid if you do the jumper cable test right and if good it will spin, but the gear shouldn't stick out during the test. still sounds like maybe brushes to me. or it could be something locking up the starter internally, but in my experience that isn't too likely.
