Guest Boyd
I'm not going to be much help. I connected MS to the stock harness where it used to connect to the ECU. I did connect 3 injectors to each bank. On a side note, my car came with resistor packs under the left inspection hatch. Weird thing is that 4 injectors work on one pack and two injectors work on the other. I don't know what the '74 is like. Get a FSM and wiring diagram, that's the best place to start! jkube
Boyd, I did a search on the Megasquirt site and was able to confirm that 1,2,3 is connected to bank 1 and 4,5,6 is on bank 2. It appears there a few people hooking up Megasquirt to their Z's. I hope to be ready to fire up this weekend, as long as my fuel pump arrives in time. A few oither people have commented on the last pair of injectors being on their own resistor pack. Best I can figure is that the first 4 are common to a 4 cylinder car that Nissan builds for Japan, and then they just add the additional pack for the 6 cylinder models. Thanks again
Guest Boyd
The resistor pack setup for 4 cylinder, plus two makes sense. Good luck on the Z! Oh yeah, have a fire extinguisher ready!
twoeightythreez
The pinout for my 78 is in the megasquirt thread. Has all the wires ID'd in the stock ECU connector. I'm sure 75 thru 78 are similar, minor differences in component location is up to the proper year service manual and lots of time.
