Guest greimann Posted July 8, 2002 Share Posted July 8, 2002 Sam, just happend to notice something in that picture that may be a source of air restriction and your disappointing performance. That flexible duct that connects the intake tube to what I assume is a cone gauze filter on the other end may be collapsing and distorting under high flow / load. You would be advised to replace it with something more rigid. I suggest you get some of this hose from McMaster-Carr or something equivalent. http://www.mcmaster.com/catalog/108/html/0170.html That light weight hose you have is usually meant for air ducting in front of the air filter, not between the filter and the intake, where a slight vacuum can exist.
