Guest mr_posey
Hey guys here is the q for you! I have a 1985 300 z engine I want to stroke or re modify, actually I have two of them. one of them is in my 79 zx. the one in my zx I have already worked over. I was wondering if there is a way to stroke a 300? does anybody know if that can be done with a different crank, or longer rods with different pistons on the stock crank? the 300 block I have in my 79 is done to the max. but I want more performance, and prefer the weight to exchange ratio of the 300 engine compared to a small block.. thanks for the help. Guest bang847
Those are two completely different engines... one is a straight 6 and the other is a V6 if it is a straight 6 L28 you can grab a diesiel crank from a ld28 maxima.
280Zen
You might want to post this question over on the z31.com BBS and the 300zxclub.com BBS, both of those specialize in the Z31 engines
evildky
yeah check with z31.com, also twinturbo.net, I have read on one or both about either a 3.3 or a 3.5 stroker, using I guess the 3.3 or the 3.5 crank ? been a whie details fuzzy
