rags
Since the rear ZX calipers have a female fitting for the brake lines, is there an adapter to get my braided first gen brake lines to fit the ZX calipers? If not, does the front of an 82-83 ZX use the same brake lines? If they are I'll try to get someone with ZX disks in the back to buy a ZX set of braided brake hoses and we could swap two. VRJoe
I got a set of SS lines from MSA that were M-F then modified the male fitting to work in the caliper. I've just installed them, but have not pressure tested them yet. I'll be putting in the master cylinder and bleeding the system this week with any luck. I think Mike at fonebooth.com has lines that use a banjo bolt. Ross at Modern may have some similar. Try MSA, Ross or Mike and you should find something that will work. - Joe
spotfitz
I ended up taking a bolt and drilling a hole through the center and then cut the head off. After some grinding everything went together without a leak. I'm sure there are easier ways to do it, but this worked for me.
jkube
I ran into the same problem, and found an adapter from Earl's fittings that adapted the 240z brake line ( hard line) to the 280zx caliper. I used the steel brake flex line that was on the original setup. If you need the Earl's # just let me know.
