Guest torynich
I finally put my tripple webber 40s on and man-oh-man what a difference. Those dual webers sucked. Anyway, I was lucky. They are used carbs that have been sitting around for a little while and I just put them on and the Z fired right up on the first try. Now I want to tune them and dont know what meter to get or where. What is the best one to use? Just get the one from Motorsport or it there a better one? johnc
The best is the Synchromaster and most VW performance shops sell them.
Guest torynich
Thanks for the reply. I am not sure, but I think that you meant the Synchrometer...I couldnt find any synchromasters but plenty of synchrometers. I saw that Pierce manifolds sells a dcoe adapter for the synchrometer...is this necessary? Also, do I need the 2" and up or the 1and5/8 to 2 and 1/8 tip? I guess I could call Pierce to find out, but I dont want the salesman answer. You are right too, the VW shops have a better price on the meters-about 10$ difference.
