Dave
I just came back from 3 of our U-Pull-It wrecking yards looking for some front upper strut bearings and some rear spindle pins to pull. I found a 75Z that someone used a couple of 5/8"X11" grade 8 NF bolts instead of spindle pins. There were no lock wedges in the strut and these bolts had been in use for years. I pulled them out and can not find any wear. The transverse links (lower control arms) were tight and showed no wear in the bushings. I have searched the forums for info on the tubular control arms that are sold and found they are using bolts instead of spindle pins. Has anyone here used a bolt instead of spindle pins on their stock rear suspension? The 75Z had urethane bushings in the transverse links.
