I've used the search function but still have a couple of questions while I consider the conversion. First of all I'm going to be redoing my suspension no matter what, I was going to just go with coils and shocks from msa until I was reading about coilovers. I'm going to have a place like midas install my suspension cause I don't have the tools or knowhow when it comes to suspension. I've read there is modifying involved in the coilovers would it be to hard for midas to install these? Also I'm eventually going to install wider tires on my z. If I don't go with coilovers does it hurt the handling to have a wheel that extends out farther then if I were to use the same width with coild overs and have more of the wheel in?(hope that made sense)

Also how much more with labor and everthing would it be with the coilover kit?

IMHO...

Coil overs are not worth the time and effort for a moderately modified street driven Z. You won't really see a handling improvement (at the 8/10ths limit that street cars are driven) over some of the stock diameter spring kits out there. Your money is better spent on bushings, shocks, anti-roll bars, etc.

That being said, many folks install coil-overs for asthetic reasons to fit wider wheels and tires. Ross Corrigan, a regular on this site, has a complete kit to put coilovers on a Z and if you're not planning on lowering the car more then 2" then you won't need to section the struts. A Midas shop "should" be able to handle the install if the struts don't need sectioning.
