Guest zx racer
I have an 83 280zx coupe n/a. I am buying a 2+2 turbo car for 150 bucks. I needed to know what all the specifics were to the swap as far as wiring drive shafts etc. I plan on continuing ot autocross my car and possibly put out 250+ hp at the ground. I read the previous post on the turbo engine. I am trying to stay within the street prepared rules for the scca. any help would be great. z u later eric

BayAreaZT
You don't have to swap drive shafts unless you are swapping to a t5 tranny or vice versa.
Guest szlash280z
whatever you think it will cost, add almost double that and you should be close.
Guest bastaad525
yeah and however long you think it will take double that too And, if you can actually start up the donor car, and it seems to run fine, follow one rule that I did NOT follow and has caused me more headaches than I can count... when you transfer everything over transfer EXACTLY the way it is in the donor car!!! Dont leave anything out, dont change anything, dont take any 'shortcuts'. Leave it alone!
