First post: looking for prices on used lt1/ls1 w/ t56

Hey guys, I have been a "lurker" on this board for a few months now, but this is the first time I have had any questions I couldn't find answers for. I know the complications involved in swapping a newer 5.7 motor etc. I am just looking for some sources to find an lt1 or ls1 with a t56. How much did you guys pay?

Billy Graham seems to be a good source for good engines but he seems a little pricey to me. I live in North Alabama and I picked up a 95 LT1 with a 4L60E tranny from a local junkyard for $1500. 80k miles and heard it run.

 

Check ebay.

He's pricey but talk to him anyway - he's geared towards swaps and will make sure you get what you need from the donar car unlike some other places. I ended up going elsewhere for my trans and also ended up regretting it - it turned out to be junk.
