Guest jjohart
As above, for 83 280ZXT. I was advised elsewhere on this list to check vacuum issues, but the dealer says the dash, climate unit and other hoses would take many hours to check, much less solve. I'm no backyard mechanic, but is the simplest thing to do just to buy ALL new hoses for the climate control? It blows the same temp air, HOT, no matter where the temp slider control is, unless it is absolutely to the cold detent position, where it directs cool air to the upper registers only. Brad-ManQ45
Back in '94 I had this same problem and took it to the dealer - $1400 and a new "control head" later it was fixed. I have since gone to analog dash and manual A/C and have all my parts from the auto setup which was working fine - I just didn't want to ever have to go through it again, and while I had the dash out to replace the wiring harness did the manual conversion.
