denny411
I would tell them to total up the hrs they have in it so far, subtract that from the 3K that you paid them and to refund the difference. If they refuse, I would take them to court. If you get out now, you might still have enough funds to have a LEGITAMATE shop finish it. I`m sure you could find sombody else to do a better job. HELL.. for three grand you could take some welding and body classes, buy a welder, and do the job yourself. By the looks of it you would probably get the car finished about the same time. RPMS
You might want to take a couple of deep breaths. Bodywork frequently looks horrible until it's all said and done. Give them the opportunity to finish their work before you judge it. Just don't give them any more money until it's complete!
Guest BigWhyteDude
why not go take some pics of there work and post them on here? That way you can get outside oppenions about the work they do. Just a thought. Andrew
Guest ZMFDM
I talked to the guy there two days ago, and he said they have just been busy, which is fine and all, but I have less then a month to get it aircared now, and I still don't have it back, they said it WILL be finished by next weekend, if it is, and looks decent, I'll have a very merry christmas. Also I would take pics, but the only camera I have is 4 years old and also acts as a webcam, it takes horrible pictures, and nothing would be visible, with the lights in their shop anyway. I'm just dissapointed, they keep putting me off cause I'm young..
RPMS
I'm just dissapointed, they keep putting me off cause I'm young.. Keep your chin up! If you look around in the paint/body forum, it's full of older guys whose cars took twice as long as they thought to get their cars back. Having your car stuck in jail is a painful rite of passage for most hot rodders. Think about it this way - if you work in a paint shop and tell every customer the truth, that it will take however long as it takes, you'll watch as a big chunk of your prospective customers go across the street where some schmuck is telling them that the car will be back to them in a week. Sure he's lying, but they don't know that. Quality paint work, especially on a budget, goes v.e.r.y s.l.o.w.l.y. But I do feel your pain, my friend. You're not getting what you expected, and I'm sure you're extremely frustrated.
