So please if you do have any kind of info that is usefull to me or all of us please post so we all can move on with our projects. Guest plainswolf
Welcome to HybridZ.. There is a kit to mount a chevy small block engine into the 70-78 Z cars, it's made by a company called Jaguars that run. Read all of the info at that site and most of all buy their book which details the entire conversion process and the engineeering that went into it. It also has alot of detailed pictures of the mounts as well as technical drawings of them. If you want more pics, try going through the members photo albums and especially their webpages, they are most often loaded with pics of their conversions.. you can find and get to these by browsing through the different threads everywhere in this site. The search function is a researchers dream tool for this conversion.. Here is a link to the website of the company that makes the kit for a V8 swap into the Z car: http://www.jagsthatrun.com/ Have fun and please browse around... you'll be suprised at the amount of information everywhere you look in here. 80LS1T
Well like you said there is no company that makes a kit for the 90-96 300ZX SBC swap.......however "Adlashwa"(a member on this forum) has just came up with a book just like "Jaguars That Run" for a LS1 swap into the 90-96 300ZX. I have not seen teh book but from what he says it will go through the whole swap step by step and if you need help he said he is more than willing to help you through the swap. I think if you've got the 90-96 300ZX then you should swap in the LS1 to match the performance of the rest of the car. Thats just my opinion though! There are very very few people who have done the 90-96 300ZX SBC swap. So your kinda on your own as far as making mounts. Good luck!
