The never ending engine swap

Recommended Posts

I did a bunch of research, and have come to the conclusion that the Kinser stack injection is not going to do the job for me. :( Looks like I am going to run the 750 Carter that has been bolted on for the last couple of months. Maybe when I can afford it I will convert the Kinser to efi, or maybe I'll just make a lamp out of it. Oh well, the motor mounts are bolted in, and I can finally start on the rear crossmember, so at least I'm making some progress.(I think)

Don’t do it Chaparral2f!

Auto parts should not become house hold furniture and appliances. I saved a V12 from becoming a coffee table once. A stack injection becoming a table lamp?!!! Please don’t let it be so.

On a reality note. I checked out the Kinsler sight and enquired about a butterfly set up for a V12. The quote was $350 per set of three. Multiply that times four, add some stacks, injector bosses and it’s a lot of money…too much. Yours would be an awesome set up though. You have the hard ware, all you need is the computer and injector bosses.

The conversion wouldn’t be that difficult or “too expensive†say with a megasquirt or other economical management system.

Besides, what would Jim Hall say?
